On Tuesday, Sunnyvale, CA-based Niara emerged from stealth to reveal details of its security intelligence solution. Niara’s security platform integrates analytics on behavioral data with data-driven forensics to help organizations proactively identify and mitigate threats to cyber security. The Niara platform uses disparate data sources such as logs, flows, packets and alerts to obtain a comprehensive view of a customer’s IT infrastructure to more effectively identify the security breaches or impending malicious activity. Architected with a big data platform capable of ingesting, integrating and analyzing security-related data from multiple sources, Niara can assign threat scores to different entities within an IT infrastructure such as devices, applications or business units as illustrated below:

The graphic demonstrates the Niara platform’s ability to trend threat scores in the context of device and authentication history in ways that enable customers to gauge the significance of the trend in question. Niara’s security analytics on entities allows organizations to swiftly identify areas of vulnerability within an organization.
